Why Use OEM Range Rover Parts

Owning a is an expensive hobby, that many would consider a luxury. So will they use OEM parts? Find out if they should here.

The Land Rover is a classic off-road and utility vehicle, with precision crafted parts that provide rugged dependability for years of trouble free performance. In fact, the Rover name is nearly synonymous with rugged dependability. But even the most dependable of vehicles, like the Range Rover, can sometimes require servicing and need replacement parts.

Despite rigorous testing, Range Rover parts are still subject to wear and tear, and of course, unfortunate collisions or traffic accidents, so occasional maintenance is necessary just as with any other vehicle.

But when it comes time to do some work or even have your Range Rover serviced, you’ll want to insist on using OEM, or original equipment manufacturer, parts. Of course, there are a variety of third-party replacement parts available for the Range Rover and other Land Rover vehicles, but only certified land rover parts will be built to the same tough standards and guaranteed to hold up through severe off-road driving conditions.

Of course most Range Rover users will want to use OEM parts to keep their Rover as new and tough as the day they bought it. But unfortunately, there are mechanics and car repair shops out there that would much rather use cheaper third-party parts. The reason why? Like most things in life, it comes down to money.

Repair centres can order of third-party replacement parts at a cheaper price, and then simply cross their fingers and hope the vehicle owner doesn’t ask too many questions. And many times, this strategy actually works. Lets face it, after a collision, accident or other vehicle problem, many people are too frazzled by the experience to pay much attention to the details of the repair. After all, they may have lots of other details on their mind, like filing insurance claims or police reports, and its easy to forget to oversee the repair of their Rover amid all the confusion.

But the problem is, when third-party, or so-called ‘aftermarket’ replacement parts are used on a Range Rover, they are often of the generic variety. In other words, they may not fit exactly, or they may be actually designed to fit a wide range of similar vehicles, and not be exclusively Range Rover parts.

However, by sticking with certified Land Rover parts from the factory, you will never have to worry about the quality of any replacement parts used in a repair. To keep your Range Rover factory new, always insist upon OEM parts. Remember, regardless of what some disreputable autos jobs may try to tell you, not all Range Rover parts are made alike.
