Zune is one of the best media players around and one way to prove it is when you download songs for your Zune. It’s quite easy to get songs into your media player simply because it can get songs from practically all types of resources. This way, looking for compatible songs is made easier for all enthusiasts out there.

You basically have two options when you download songs for your Zune from online resources namely from a pay site or from a free site. When you access pay sites you have more options to consider, especially in terms of payments. The most common payment options are one-time subscription fees or a pay per download option.

Be sure to know the supported formats your player can read before downloading just about any song. If you do not know yet, it supports formats such as MP3, AAC, or WMA. It’s not a problem if you can’t find these formats because you can just convert them to a readable format using software.

Next is to think carefully about the websites you go to. If you download songs for your Zune online, why not choose a safe option and go to pay sites? The fees may bother you but there’s a way to work around it. Choose membership sites that ask for reasonable fees and choose the most convenient payment option for you.

When you download from free sites, you download illegally and you risk exposing your media player to damaging viruses. Purchasing a media player is one thing, having to pay for its repair is another. You definitely won’t get to save if you encounter this problem, so try to avoid it in the first place.

If you think legal issues are not a problem for you, you still get to encounter other problems with free sites. You will get frustrated since songs are often mislabelled and are usually of poor quality. Don’t waste your time downloading these files and don’t waste your player on them.

If you want to save on money, you also have the option of ripping music from the CDs that you already have. Instead of carrying bulky CD players, why not opt to convert them into a playable format so that you can listen to it on your media player?
