The electric guitar is the best known type however it is found in such a wide range of styles that you are very much restricted by your own imagination. There are a few classic styles such as the Gibson Les Paul, Fender Telecaster and Fender Stratocaster (or simply Strat) which are the most famous. But, with digital technology, these three classic guitars and more can be found in a guitar called the Variax which uses modeling technology to shape the tone of the instrument to sound almost the same as the original.
