Birthday parties for preschool age children can be challenging. Trying to plan activities and keep these small children entertained is not an easy feat.

No doubt that organizing and planning a birthday party for preschoolers can be a very difficult task. There are limited activities in which preschoolers can do. They have shorter attention span too and if the games are hard, they would not be able to understand. So, what should you do?

So what should you do? Well, I suggest that if you are planning a party for preschoolers, you should keep them busy. Always make sure that they have something to do.

It can help to always have some back up activities in case an activity does not work out. A good back up is a coloring table or a movie. These things are usually always a hit with preschoolers and can serve to occupy them if needed.

Another thing to take note of is that you should set up the activities even before the party starts. You should make sure that you have enough supplies of everything because the last thing you want is preschoolers fighting.

Good activities for preschoolers are activities that do not require a lot of explanation. They should also be fun and allow the children to do it by themselves. Preschoolers tend to be very independent so choosing activities that require little parental involvement will be the best choice.

There are several good activates available for parties. Some of them are bubble blowing, face painting, bean bag toss and also water balloon. These activities give the children freedom to use their creativity.

The last thing you need is a preschooler destroying the party. You should keep the activities flowing as these children hate to wait. if you don’t keep them busy they will find a way to keep themselves busy and that may be a big problem.

If you think that there are too many children for you to handle, all you need to do is to divide them into groups. By doing this, you can keep them busy and you can also use your backup activity to keep the children busy.

Some activities like blowing bubble or water balloon, you should ensure that all the children have the same number balloons and also ensure that all of them have bubble. You do not want them to be arguing.

Also keep in mind that messy activities, like blowing bubbles or playing with water balloons should be saved for the end of the party. You should also inform parents if you think a child may get wet or messy so they can bring an extra set of clothing should their child need to change.

Preschoolers are at an awkward age where they are wanting to act grown up, but their bodies and minds limit them. Birthday party activities for preschoolers should allow them to express their desire to be independent and grown up, but also take into consideration their limitations. Now, go and plan a great birthday party!
